  • ILSC Language Schools and Humber Polytechnic Sign a Joint Pathway Program Partnership, Creating a Clear Route from English Study to Post-Secondary Learning in Ontario

    New agreement gives international students a clear, supported route from ILSC’s English for Academic Purposes program into Humber, with transfer credit toward their first semester

    International students who want to build their English and continue into a Canadian college have a new direct route to get there. ILSC Language Schools and Humber Polytechnic have signed a joint pathway agreement that links ILSC’s English for Academic Purposes (EAP) program with Humber’s English for Academic Purposes Ontario College Certificate.

    The partnership combines ILSC Language School’s focused academic English training with Humber’s career-oriented education. Students can move from language study into post-secondary learning with a clear plan, recognized credit, and support at each step.

    Students who complete ILSC’s EAP program at Intermediate Level 4 with a minimum grade of B (70%) may be eligible to enter the Ontario College Certificate. Eligible students receive block transfer credit toward their first semester of this EAP Program, so they can start at Humber with credit already earned. Admission depends on meeting Humber’s other entrance requirements and on program availability.

    Pathway students begin at ILSC Language Schools where ILSC’s University Pathway Advising Team helps each student:

    •    assess their current English level

    •    build a study plan around their intended Humber start date

    •    stay on track to reach the level required for transition
