On June 30th, Christopher Mediratta, President and Chief Operating Officer of ILSC Education Group announced the creation of the Daniel Lefort Memorial Scholarship during an event celebrating the life and contributions of ILSC and Collège Greystone Montreal’s Director, Daniel Lefort, who passed away earlier this year.
The scholarship reflects Daniel’s legacy of promoting diversity and putting others' needs before his own, qualities that were highlighted again and again by the colleagues, family, and friends who attended the event celebrating his life.
The academic tuition scholarship of up to $5,000 CAD will be awarded to two candidates each year, one planning to study English or take a college program in English, and one planning to study French. The scholarship covers tuition, registration, and materials fees. Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to community engagement and social responsibility through past volunteer or other community work and have a vision of how they can apply their experience in the Montréal and/or ILSC community during their studies.
Daniel left an indelible mark on ILSC Education Group and so many of our staff and students. We feel truly honoured to have had him at the helm of ILSC and Collège Greystone Montréal for so many years and look forward to building upon his commitment to Community Social Responsibility through this new scholarship.
We invite you to learn more about the Daniel Lefort Memorial Scholarship and to share with potential applicants who want to experience transformative learning and living experiences at ILSC or Greystone College in Montréal.
